General Questions

I'd rather you come in informed than surprised. If something isn't answered here, reach out. I'm happy to talk it through before you ever book a session.

How do I know if I need therapy, coaching, or both?

You don't have to figure that out on your own. Book a free 15-minute consultation and we'll talk it through together. Generally, therapy focuses on healing, mental health, and processing emotions or past experiences. Coaching is more future-focused and goal-driven. But the honest answer is it depends on you, and we'll figure it out together.

What is the first session like?

The first couple of sessions are a little more structured. I'm gathering background information and completing a full assessment so I can understand where you're coming from. By session three, things shift. The energy becomes more relaxed and client-led. That's usually where the real work begins, or where we go deep, depending on where you are.

What if we’re not a good fit?

That's okay, and it happens. I usually ask clients to give it three to four sessions before deciding, because the first few are still about getting to know each other. But if something feels off, tell me. We can talk it through, adjust, or I can help you find someone who's a better match. You deserve support that actually fits.

How long will I need to be in therapy or coaching?

That depends entirely on your goals. Some people come weekly for a season of intense work. Others check in monthly as needed. We'll decide together what makes sense for you, and I'll never keep you longer than you need to be here. The goal is for you to not need me anymore. And I mean that.

Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

Both. In-person sessions are available at my private office in Omaha, NE. Virtual sessions are available for residents of Nebraska, Iowa, Georgia, and Illinois. Sessions can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or as needed.

What states are you licensed in?

I am independently licensed as an LICSW / LISW in:
● Nebraska (NE)
● Iowa (IA)
● Georgia (GA)
● Illinois (IL)

Who do you work with?

I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups. My clients range from adolescents to adults and come from all kinds of backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. If you're not sure whether I'm the right fit, book a free consultation and we'll figure it out.

What does therapy cost?

The initial intake session is $250. Standard sessions (45 to 60 minutes) are $200. Extended sessions are an additional $150 per hour. If you're using insurance, your cost will depend on your specific plan and deductible. I'd recommend calling your provider to verify your mental health benefits before your first session.

What insurance do you accept?

I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (including Anthem and Blueprint), United Healthcare / Optum, UMR, Aetna, Cigna, Medica, and Midlands Choice. If you don't see your insurance listed, reach out. It's worth a conversation.

Do you offer life coaching?

Yes. I offer both intuitive and practical coaching for clients across the U.S. and internationally. Topics may include boundaries, nervous system regulation, life transitions, identity shifts, and soul-aligned lifestyle changes.
